Rebecca is a multidisciplinary artist, poet, and philosophical thinker whose work moves fluidly between visual art, language, and tactile creation. She grew up all across the U.S. before finding her home in Mississippi where her and her husband raised four children. She enjoys working in surrealism and abstract realism, exploring the threshold between inner experience and shared reality.
Her practice is rooted in transformation. Using paint, wood, earth, and words, Ward treats raw materials as collaborators rather than tools, allowing intuition and structure to coexist. Her work often carries a quiet gravity: an invitation to pause, feel, and recognize oneself within layered meaning.
Beyond her studio practice, Ward is known as a natural guide and stabilizing presence. People are drawn to her for clarity, counsel, and grounding in moments of uncertainty. This role as listener, leader, and teacher informs her art deeply; each piece holds space rather than demands attention.
